Occupying several interconnected townhouses with classical façades overlooking the lovely square from which it takes its name, the Blythswood Square Hotel is Glasgow’s newest luxury property. It contains 100 stunning guest rooms, as well as an amazing spa, restaurant and bars (including the historic Rally Bar, a cocktail bar and a champagne bar).
The guestrooms are exceptionally comfortable, beautifully decorated and subtly luxurious, creating a comforting base from which to explore Glasgow. Bespoke marble bathrooms, Egyptian Cotton Linen and 24-hour concierge service combine to enhance the experience.
Having once been a ballroom, the hotel’s restaurant boasts stunning proportions yet also has a fun, informal atmosphere. Beneath its high ceilings it offers space for 120 diners and serves delicious seasonally chosen and locally sourced food.
Perhaps the property’s most distinctive feature, the Rally Bar is a legacy of a time when the hotel’s building was the Clubhouse for The Royal Scottish Automobile Club (RSAC). The bar was one of eight starting points for the 1955 Monte Carlo Rally and has been restored to its former glory. There’s also a 35-metre Salon on the first floor. With comfortable sofas, luxurious fabrics and great views, it’s an ideal place to meet friends or colleagues whilst enjoying freshly brewed coffee, specially blended teas or even a glass of champagne.
The Spa at the Blythswood Square hotel covers an area of 10,000 square feet and incorporates 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite with a range of experiences, two relaxation pools, a rasul mud chamber, a relaxing lounge and café area plus several additional relaxation areas.
